Muscat, Oman: The Ministry of Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ara Petroleum, one of the group companies of The Zubair Corporation, to establish a digital studio project for Al Amal School for the Deaf. The MoU was signed between His Excellency Abdullah Khamis Ambosaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education on behalf of MoE and Al Zubair Mohammad Al Zubair, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Zubair Corporation, representing ARA Petroleum. As per the agreement, ARA Petroleum will finance the digital educational studio project, from the preparation of designs and special maps to the financing and fully-equipping of the digital educational studio. This will be carried out through an agreement with a specialised company and as per the latest equipment and specifications approved in this field.
Commenting on the signing of the MoU, Al Zubair Mohammad Al Zubair said, “The implementation of this project stems from our policy aimed at strengthening partnerships with the public and private sectors to serve the local community. This will be carried out through the implementation of several community initiatives within the cultural, health, sports and economic fields. This joint initiative between ARA Petroleum and the Ministry of Education will provide an attractive environment for education and improve the quality of learning at Al Amal School for the Deaf, by supporting the segment of students with special needs. It will enhance their capabilities and develop them so that they can be an integral part of the community in the future. We hope that this project achieves its goals and visions, including the development and enrichment of the students’ mental and educational capabilities, in addition to augmenting the students’ means of communication with the people around them.”
Dr. Fathiya Khalfan Al Siddiya, Director-General of the General Directorate of Special Education and Continuing Education at the Ministry of Education, added, “The digital studio project at Al Amal School for the Deaf will contribute in providing a qualitative leap in the field of visual education for school students, making it easier for them to communicate with teachers and administrators in a way that an easy and enjoyable. In addition, the studio is expected to contribute to providing a huge leap in the field of visual education for school students. We hope that efforts towards public interest will continue and that the desired goals will be achieved through this cooperation across all educational aspects, to serve our students in general and especially those with hearing disabilities. I would like to take this opportunity to thank ARA Petroleum for its community initiative in financing this project, which will undoubtedly reflect positively on students and staff at Al Amal School for the Deaf.”
